At GIF Products Ltd, sustainability is embedded into the way we do business — not only in what we make, but in how we source. As a trusted UK supplier of lamination films, adhesives, and fire protection products, we are committed to ethical, environmentally responsible, and socially inclusive procurement practices.
Our Sustainable Procurement Strategy aligns with our broader Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy and supports our role within UK critical infrastructure and defence supply chains, including compliance with MOD, JOSCAR, and Net Zero objectives.

We work with our supply chain partners to ensure that every product and service we procure:

- Promotes fair labour practices and human rights
- Supports circularity, recycling, and low-carbon alternatives
- Meets quality, compliance, and safety requirements
- Delivers transparency on material content and origin

Environmental Responsibility
We actively seek to partner with suppliers who:
- Offer biodegradable, recyclable, or bio-based alternatives (e.g. BioPP, Cellulosic films)
- Can demonstrate reductions in carbon emissions, water use, or waste
- Comply with environmental regulations (e.g. REACH, RoHS)
- Are working towards Net Zero, including through energy-efficient production or low-emission transport
Our internal targets include reducing emissions in Scope 1 and 2, and gradually engaging with Scope 3 impacts from materials and freight. We also support CIBSE TM65, PAS 2060, and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) where feasible.
Ethical & Social Procurement
We require all suppliers to comply with the following as a minimum:
- Modern Slavery Act 2015
- International Labour Organisation (ILO) standards
- Zero tolerance of child labour or forced labour
- Fair wages and safe working conditions
We encourage diversity and inclusion across our supply chain and give preference to suppliers who actively engage in community, apprenticeship, or veteran-support initiatives.
Governance and Transparency
- All high-risk suppliers are screened against financial sanctions lists
- We maintain a Supplier Code of Conduct
- We require evidence of regulatory compliance, such as insurance, certifications, and health & safety systems
- Our ESG and procurement records are available for audit and reviewed annually
GIF Products is also working towards full compliance with the Prompt Payment Code, and we are committed to fair and timely treatment of all our commercial partners.
