Meet Our New Textured Lamination Films: More Texture. More Choice. More Ways to Finish Print.
There’s something new at GIF Products – quite a few things, actually! We’ve expanded our Textured Lamination Film range with six exciting new finishes: Matt Fine Linen, Gloss Fine Linen, Matt Smooth Leather, Gloss Striking Leather, Gloss Canvas and Gloss Brushstroke.
Together with our established Sandy Gritty Matt, these films offer printers and finishers a choice of tactile finishes, from subtle and sophisticated to bold and distinctive.
Let’s meet the new arrivals!
Why Textured Lamination?
Why settle for ordinary matt or gloss when you can add another dimension to print?
Textured lamination films introduce a physical pattern that can both be seen and felt, adding depth, character and tactile appeal to finished materials.
From luxury packaging and book covers to brochures and presentation folders, textured finishes offer a distinctive way to enhance printed products and make them stand out.
NEW: Matt Fine Linen
We’ll start with one of the more refined additions.
Matt Fine Linen introduces an elegant woven texture across the laminated surface, combined with a sophisticated matt appearance.
The fine pattern gives printed work additional tactile character without creating an overly dominant effect, making this a particularly versatile addition to the range.
It is well suited to applications where the customer wants something noticeably different from conventional matt lamination while retaining a clean, premium appearance.
NEW: Gloss Fine Linen
Fine Linen is also available with a very different personality.
Gloss Fine Linen combines the same style of woven, fabric-inspired characters with a brighter gloss appearance.
The additional shine makes the texture more visually prominent as light moves across the surface, producing a finish that has both tactile and visual impact.
Having Fine Linen available in Matt and Gloss also gives printers a useful choice: the distinctive character of a linen texture with either a restrained or more reflective final appearance.
NEW: Matt Smooth Leather
For something with a completely different character, we’ve added Matt Smooth Leather.
The film introduces a tactile leather-inspired pattern combined with a matt surface, creating a refined finish with plenty of surface interest.
Rather than the perfectly smooth appearance associated with standard matt lamination, the leather-style pattern gives the finished piece greater depth and character when viewed and handled.
It’s a particularly interesting option for premium printed work where a sophisticated, tactile surface is part of the brief.
NEW: Gloss Striking Leather
If the job calls for something bolder, meet Gloss Striking Leather.
As its name suggests, this isn’t intended to disappear quietly into the background.
The more pronounced leather-inspired texture combines with a gloss surface to create a strong decorative finish with considerable tactile character.
Where Matt Smooth Leather offers the more restrained option, Gloss Striking Leather provides an alternative for customers who want the texture to play a much more noticeable role in the finished piece.
NEW: Gloss Canvas
Gloss Canvas brings another distinctive surface to the range.
Its woven canvas-style pattern creates a recognisable crosshatched texture across the laminated print, while the gloss finish adds additional visual impact.
The result is quite different from both Fine Linen and Leather, giving printers another tactile option when the brief calls for a finish that feels less conventional.
The film also offers good transparency and excellent scratch and abrasion resistance, making it more than simply a decorative surface.
NEW: Gloss Brushstroke
And then we have one of the most distinctive newcomers: Gloss Brushstroke.
Rather than reproducing a fabric or leather-style grain, Brushstroke introduces its own flowing textured pattern across the laminated surface.
Combined with gloss, it produces a highly distinctive finish that can transform the appearance of otherwise conventional printed work.
Like Canvas, Brushstroke combines its tactile surface with good transparency and excellent scratch and abrasion resistance.
It’s certainly not your everyday lamination film; and that’s rather the point.
And One of Our Old Faithfuls: Sandy Gritty Textured Matt
Sandy Gritty Textured Matt has a distinctive fine-grain surface that gives the finished print a noticeable tactile matt appearance. Our existing range positions it for applications including premium covers, packaging and creative print where the surface texture forms part of the finished result.
Sandy Gritty has a character all of its own, and continues to offer an excellent alternative when a conventional smooth matt simply isn’t interesting enough.

One Range. Seven Very Different Textured Lamination Finishes.
What’s particularly exciting about the expanded range isn’t simply that we’ve added more products; it’s how different they are from one another.
