Thermal Matt

Thermal Matt Lamination Films are specialised materials used to enhance the visual appeal and durability of printed products. These films are designed to be laminated onto paper or other materials using heat activation.

Litho Matt Lamination Films are commonly used for high-quality packaging applications, such as magazine covers, book covers, and promotional materials. They offer a premium look and feel that can help brands differentiate their products from competitors. These matt films give the finished substrate a more sophisticated or subdued look. The lamination process also provides an additional layer of protection to the printed material.

These films are available in a range of finishes, including brand-new sustainable options and can be customised to enhance your specific branding and design requirements. The thermal lamination process is fast and efficient, making it a popular choice for small to large-scale production runs.

Thermal Matt BioPP (30% Biobased PP)

BioPP films are produced using 30% Biobased PP resin obtained from 2nd generation Bio feedstock (waste vegetable cooking oils) and 70% Virgin PP.  These films are made of polypropylene resins of the same quality as traditional fossil fuel-based resins and are ideal for both the graphic arts and packaging industries.  They repurpose waste material into biobased PP, reducing the use of fossil fuel-based resins.  BioPP laminating films offer a sustainable alternative that supports the environment and our sustainability goals.

This matt lamination film has a non-glossy or natural matt finish, which makes it ideal for applications where a more subdued look is required.

Thermal Matt Cellulose Acetate Bio-Degradable

Our acetate film is a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic films as it is made from wood pulp, a natural and renewable source. This material is considered paper and board according to UK Packaging waste regulations and is certified to ASTM D6400, EN 13432 standards. Acetate’s base film is biodegradable and accredited with being both home and industrially compostable, making it an eco-friendly option.

The high surface energy of acetate film makes it ideal for printing, varnishing, foil blocking, adhesive coating, and gluing. These Matt lamination films have a non-glossy or natural matt finish, which makes them ideal for applications where a shiny appearance is not desired, or a more subdued look is required.

Thermal Matt BOPP PCR (Post Consumer Recycled)

Thermal BOPP PIR films are commonly used in the printing industry to enhance printed materials’ durability and appearance.  PIR stands for Post Industrial Recycled, making these films an excellent choice for any sustainable-conscious company.  Post Industrial Recycled Polypropylene (waste taken from the manufacturing production lines) is either mechanically or chemically cleaned and processed which is then extruded with the virgin PP reducing the amount of waste generated during the manufacturing process.

Not only are these films produced using more environmentally friendly materials and processes, Polypropylene is also known for its high-quality finish. This matt film gives the finished substrate a more sophisticated or subdued look.

Thermal Matt BOPP Antimicrobial

Antimicrobial laminate is the latest print-related COVID-protection tech to control bacteria and handle virus elimination on printed materials.

Thermal BOPP Antimicrobial Matt is a type of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film that has been specially designed with antimicrobial properties. This means that the film inhibits the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms on its surface, with the ability to eliminate 99% of bacteria and 84.15% of viruses within 24 hours that are known to cause health issues and illness. These films are commonly used in high-traffic areas such as hospitals, schools, restaurants and public transportation systems to reduce the risk of infection and the spread of disease. This matt film gives the finished substrate a more sophisticated or subdued look.

To maintain its effectiveness, it is recommended to clean the surface with a non-abrasive, non-aggressive cleaner or chemical.
